You are incorrect. Here is why. The motion is similar to incorporating a fly into the press movement. You are actually moving your arms in toward the center (which you cannot do with the palms facing toward the feet because the weights touch at the ends). This movement works the pectorals. Try standing upright with your arms out in front of you in front of a mirror, palms toward the floor(open palms), shoulder width apart. Now as you move your hands toward the center of your body(either rotating your hands or not)look at your upper chest. You can use one hand to palpate your upper chest if you like.

What you are suggesting (extension of the shoulder while externally rotating it) is actually very dangerous unless done with very little weight or an exercise band.As are all compound movements done with the shoulder while adding weight. It may seem correct to you because it feels right but unless you have all the information you could be setting people up for injury.

M. You've taught me some interesting stuff.

I shift (but don't eliminate) my carb intake to control weight, but I typically try to simply stick with foods with a low density of carbs. In the end, this just means I eat a lot more of the healthiest veggies and fruits and less white bread/rice/pasta. I combine that with a general one-third/two-thirds rule of thumb, which means I try to eat one-third lean protein and two-thirds low-d carb sources at every meal or snack. I think that came from reading The Zone. Anyway, it works for me.

That is all the tweaking I need to do most of the time; you have much more ambitious goals and your careful attention to detail is showing. Good on ya, mate.Lisa Creech Bledsoehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04987000165835179612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8818798.post-65000005658283330112009-02-20T08:34:00.000-05:002009-02-20T08:34:00.000-05:00Thanks for the hat tip, Dave. Our solution has been to agree to limit gigs to twice, or at the MAX, three times per month. And try to eliminate the back-to-back gigs where possible. It makes me want to throw up when people tout themselves as "experts" and then turn around and ask via private message if you know anyone who is hiring or try to pimp out their e-book.

Now I'm certainly a number whore (it does bruise my ego slightly if I lose a chunk of followers) but I'm not going to change my views or feelings just because someone says so.

Wisdom of crowds, I suppose. And we all know how stupid crowds can be.

F em all! Marketing in this "brave new world" requires much more than simply identifying yourself as an expert - in fact, I'm far less likely to buy what someone is telling me when those words cross their lips.

Great post!!Jr Deputy Accountanthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12886649539758133191noreply@blogger.com
